E-How: How to read like a historian
Being a good, attentive reader is very crucial when learning History.
1. It increases your comprehension and understanding when reading your document/ homework/ book. 2. It helps you to become and efficient reader. 3. It improves your memorization of the material you read for your homework. Here are some steps to be an awesome reader! STEP 1. Highlight and circle any important key terms, quotes, or sentences you find interesting. STEP 2. If there are words that you do not know, simply underline or highlight the word. Write down the definition under the word or on the margins. STEP 3. Summarize each paragraph in one short sentence on the margins or on a separate piece of paper. This helps you to easily remember what you read the next day you see it. STEP 4. Write down questions you would like to discuss about or ask a teacher. Candaele, Kerry.
